"Seeking God & The Word of God"
Women of Faith A Spiritual Website recommends the reading of the Book of John because we believe by reading this book of the Bible you will receive a great faith in the blessed activities and scriptures that our Lord Jesus Christ did and told for the belief in  his work.
We are starting with prayer, which is the way we talk to God and the way he reveals his word to us.  To understand and know God's word always refer to the Bible to know the truth.  This information is in scripture for your life and godliness.  You don't even need to believe before you learn to pray.  The Lord has provided a way for us to know him as he knows us.  Listen to Him and you will be saved.  Not-you are saved, but-you will be saved.  This is God's word: Learn to seek God first through prayer and you will find your God in prayer.

Jeremiah 29:4-14

This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: “Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord.

10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Whitney Houston didn't get the opportunity to start again.  She was brought up in the church.  She was a leader of the Choir, her mother was a leader in the church also, even her brothers, aunts and uncles went to church with her every Sunday and many days during the weeks.  They spent nights there practicing and singing and shouting God's word as loud as they could.

Ah, but life does throw us curves and before you know it...we're lost!  Whitney fell deep into sin.  It wasn't Bobby Brown that turned her to evil.  I wasn't the desire to leave all that that did this to her.  I was evil pure and simple, Satan himself reared his ugly head somewhere and her soul was statched from the hads of the Lord.  She chose to give her life to it and without repentence, her change of mind, she couldn't fight anymore and now she's gone forever.

This song speaks to her pain and she meant it to.  I pray that all who hear it will remember that she didn't give up on God and knew he could save her from herself and she wanted to come back to him.  Through Jesus Christ all things are possible but God will be the Judge of whether he forgives us or not.  So pray while you listen...and learn.

Start Here:

Peter Addresses the Crowd

The message that Peter gave to the crowd was the message of repentence in baptism.  As you know it was John who made the way for the Lord, preaching the baptism of repentence.

One must have a beginning even Jesus as He came to John to be baptized.  We all know the baptism of repentence and forgiveness that came with Jesus Christ.

Their are those who would not agree but Jesus shows us the baptism and demonstrates it.

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[c]

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25 David said about him:

“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
    I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
you will not let your holy one see decay.
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.’[e]

29 “Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
35 until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”’[f]

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

Our purpose is found in Matthew 28:16-20 in "The Great Commission"

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Seeking God & The Word of God

Your Journey Begins Here
in the Scriptures

There are those who's lives are worn on their sleeves.  The man with the long face shows his down-trodded life and his lack of hope of any kind.  There are those who smile up a storm but go home and think about suicide.  Then you have the ones who share their faith and spend time with their families, they know God and their place in life.   As you study Seeking God, decide who you are going to be.  Its definitely going to be a whole other person.

Read the Book of John first.  Your understanding of Jesus Christ will, at this time, prepare you for what is coming your way - a blessing.

The actual memoires of the Lord
called: his "Diary".

Word Up!

Word Up!  That's the code word.  No matter where your say it you know you will be heard.  Unlike the Gap band, who "worded" this beautifully, the word of God is heard, spoken and played out with all of its fire and fervor.  The Lord wrote his word, the Bible, on paper through men as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.  The Word of God is written by the Lord God in Heaven and played out with man in the flesh and given hope by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.
